124 Years of Growth, Leadership, and Inspiration

The Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS) celebrates its 124th Foundation Day as a special occasion that honors the long history and achievements of the school. Foundation Day is a meaningful event for students, teachers, alumni, and the community because it commemorates the establishment of the institution and its contributions to education. For more than a century, ISNHS has continued to guide and inspire generations of learners. 

ISNHS was founded in 1902, originally known as the Ilocano Normal School, which was established to train primary school teachers. Over the years, the school developed into one of the most respected secondary schools in the region, providing quality education and producing successful graduates who contribute to society. This long history shows the school’s commitment to academic excellence and the development of future leaders. 


During the Foundation Day celebration, many exciting activities are usually prepared for students and teachers. These include school parades, cultural performances, field demonstrations, and recognition programs that showcase the talents and unity of the school community. These activities allow students to express their creativity, teamwork, and school pride while celebrating the institution that serves as their second home. 

In conclusion, the 124th Foundation Day of ISNHS is not only a celebration of the school’s past but also a reminder of its mission to continue shaping responsible and successful individuals. As the school moves forward, the celebration inspires students to uphold the values, traditions, and excellence that ISNHS has built for more than a century.

The celebration is not just about participating to the different activities but it's also the laugh and smile that you can see on every student. It just shows that unity is the best that people can have in this cruel world. 

In Grade 10 students this will be the last time for others to join and feel the presence of Foundation Day of ISNHS, the memories will always be treasure and will be always remember.

Chasing Mountains and Memories: My Unforgettable Journey to Bantay

  Last weekend, I traveled from Buquig, Bantay to Tayac, a place known for its mountain views and peaceful scenery. Three of my friends live there, while one lives nearby, and I was the one coming from the farthest area. The place is surrounded by tall hills and trees, giving it a calm and refreshing atmosphere - a perfect spot to unwind. It was our long-awaited meet-up, and we were all excited to finally spend a fun day together in nature. At first, there were supposed to be seven of us, but there is a conflict from the schedule, so it became 10am. When I arrived, one of my friends was already waiting for me outside. After my brother left, I climbed onto a motorcycle, which was quite difficult because the seat was very high, it felt like a challenge to even get on!
